This notice is to make you aware that SafeSend Returns will be offline for scheduled maintenance Thursday July 4th through Sunday July 7th. During this scheduled maintenance we will be releasing SafeSend Returns version 4.0. This release is a new version of the processing side of the program.

It provides the foundation for our long term growth and scalability and will enhance efficiencies and increase the overall performance of the system. (Please note this does not change the Taxpayer Experience). This new release will not require additional training for processing returns, however, we recommend that you review the release notes posted in our help center for clarification on enhancements and minor changes.

To ensure minimal impact to you and your taxpayers, we are performing this upgrade during the long holiday weekend.

During this scheduled maintenance, the SafeSend Returns website will be inaccessible to all users and taxpayers. Any attempt made to access the system will be redirected to a maintenance notice page. We recommend that you delay sending returns to your taxpayers in the days leading up to the scheduled maintenance to limit any disruptions to your clients.
